 S-Tier – Halo Wars 2 Tier List

These are the best Halo Wars 2 leaders in the current meta. They are highly skilled, good at 1v1 and also good at 2v2 battles. If you use these in your game, you are almost guaranteed to win, especially in the current state of the game.

• Voridus
• Forge
• Atriox

Tier A Leaders

These are still in the meta and are very good Halo Wars 2 characters, but they are not as powerful as the S-tier ones. Still great for 1v1 and 2v2 matches with other players or AI.

• Arbiter
• Colony
• Cutter
• Decimus
• YapYap

Tier B Leaders

These are your average HW2 leaders, they’re not as strong or versatile as the S or A tiers, but they’re not the weakest in the game either. They can still excel in certain maps and missions, so don’t avoid them entirely.

Tier C Leaders

These leaders are below average in stats, skills, combinations, and unit building speed. They’re not that great, but if you have a specific 1v1 or 2v2 strategy, these might work for you, especially if you enjoy playing with them, or are an experienced Halo Wars 2 player.

Tier D Leaders

The weakest leaders in the current patch are really not that good right now, and they’ve been nerfed too much or weren’t good to begin with. You should avoid playing with these unless you enjoy playing with them.
