Is it the Servers?

First check the servers status:

  1. Go to EA Help
  2. Search for your game & choose it from the list
  3. Click the server status button

If the servers are down it could be for maintenance, but check @EAHelp on Twitter to find out what’s happening. You can also check @AskPlayStation or @XboxSupport

If you can’t connect

If the servers are working ensure that you have a stable internet connection and that you’re online on Origin:

  • Restart your router: Turn your router off and then unplug it. Wait about a minute then plug it
  • Fully shutting down your console can help with connection issues
  • Try a different DNS: Switching to a different DNS is a techie trick that can help you if your DNS is unreliable. If you want a couple of free options, try Google DNS or Open DNS

If you are getting disconnected a lot

  • Use a wired connection
  • Try to move your device as close to your router as possible
  • Contact your Internet Service Provider (ISP) for help finding and switching to a less busy wireless channel
