This is understandable, but your concerns are misplaced. In Ragnarok, certain upgrade materials are (mostly) related to defeating unmissable bosses. This material is called “Frozen Flames” and can be used to increase the potential of your Leviathan Axe. If you can’t figure out how to get Frozen Flames in God of War: Ragnarok, don’t keep fighting. Where to Get Frozen Flames in God of War Ragnarok
As mentioned earlier, most of these items are obtained by defeating bosses. But one of them is that your reward is not defeating the boss, but saving comrades. Either way, it’s still relevant to the story, so you probably can’t miss it. Here you can find all Frozen Flames:
- You can get your first Frozen Flame simply by defeating the Huntress in the Surviving Fimbulwinter quest.
- The second can be obtained in the “Groa Secret” quest after defeating Alva.
- Luckily, the third Frozen Flame isn’t something you get when you beat the boss, but rather, for freeing Freya in a quest called The Reckoning.
- The lucky number four is obtained in the quest “Reunion” after quickly killing Hel Traveler.
- The fifth Frozen Flame can be captured by defeating the Phantom of Fire in the quest called “The Summoning”.
- Finally, if you solve the Crimson Dread in the For Vanaheim! side quest, you can solve the sixth problem.
