The Story Line!

The problem of accessing Lab 422 is encountered in the Dandy and Damsel quest of the Borderlands 3 game. Once you accept this quest, you are introduced to Gustav. Gustav assigns you the task of finding his wife who has been kidnapped by a group of Devil Riders.

To find the wife you must survive several challenges. The end goal is to locate and meet Boss Keem – a brutal bandit who runs the band of Devil Riders that kidnapped Gustav’s wife.

Lab 422 – Why is it so Difficult to Get to it?

Lab 422 is where you will find the cruel Boss Keem. However, it is not easy to get to this location. It is also, sometimes, increasingly more challenging to enter the Lab.

To enter Lab 422, you must defeat many of Boss Keem’s minions. Now, fighting through the minions and the armies is a cakewalk compared to actually entering the Lab.

There is a reason why everyone is obsessed with understanding how to get to Lab 422 Borderlands 3. The issue isn’t exactly the level of difficulty but rather a glitch in the game.

Some players may encounter a bug when they reach the wall. Due to the bug, you are unable to tear down the wall to enter the Lab.

In other cases, you will be able to smash the red/green wall and while it loses its red color, it keeps standing and no path appears to allow you to go beyond it. The bug can also lock you out of the quest entirely and prevent you from finishing it.

How to Get to Lab 422 Borderlands 3?

Here is how you can get to Lab 422 in Borderlands 3:

1. One thing you can do is reload a previously saved file of the quest and continue from there. The bug might disappear.
2. Your second option is to restart the quest to fix the bug. However, this would mean starting the mission from scratch.

This third option is our favorite and most reliable to work! Although it requires a lot of patience, effort, and precision.

Instead of trying to break the wall, follow these steps:

1. Move away from the wall and climb the ramp in front of you.
2. You’ll spot a truck. Jump on it and use it as support to climb the metallic structure above.
3. Make your way through the rocky area and structures and finally, take the fall to your death while pressing the melee button.

This process will break the wall and you will enter Lab 422!
