How to Get Mithril Ore in LOTR Return To Moria – Locations
Finding Mithril will take you a while, it is not a location that you can reach right away, and the level of the enemies is quite high. But basically you need
- Find the Great Mithril Forge in Baranzibar
- Equip yourself well: You will need good weapons and light sources
- Descend through the holes of Moria: This is what will take you time, the darkness and enemies will complicate your descents and the search for access to the next lower level. But that’s all you have to do down until you find the Mithril Mine Shaft
- Once you get to the Mithril Mine Shaft you will not need any help to find Mithril Ore nodes, there are many and they are easily seen
How to Get Mithril Ore in LOTR Return To Moria – Equipment
In order to extract Mithril you will need Durin’s Ax or Quarrymaster, we explain how to get both
How to get Durin’s Axe
First you need to collect all the fragments:
- Westgate: In the building with two stairs > 2nd floor
- Second Hall: Behind the hidden door
- Bridge of Khazad-dûm: Under the rubble
- Chamber of Mazarbul: In a chest
- The Endless Stair: At the top of the spiral stair
Once you have the Durin’s Axe fragments, craft it in the Great Forge of Durin, the ingredients you will need are:
- 1 Fine Leather.
- 3 Durinul Iron Ingot.
- 3 Sun-Stone.
- 4 Ironwood.
How to get Quarrymaster
For the Quarrymaster you do not need to collect fragments, but you will have to unlock the Great Forge of Narvi first. Once you get it, these are the ingredients you will need
- 1 Black Diamond
- 6 Steel Ingot
- 6 Silver Ingot
- 8 Ubasam Wood
We think it’s easier, or at least faster to get the Durin’s Axe
