In this fun mobile RPG, Atelier Resleriana brings the interesting character Tao Mongarten to life. The game, which was made by Gust in partnership with Team Ninja and Akatsuki Games, takes players into a lively world where Tao Mongarten’s presence is central to the story.
The character Tao Mongarten has been in the Atelier series for a long time and is a great addition to the mobile game, Atelier Resleriana. He is childhood friends with Ryza, one of the main characters in the Atelier series. He is a reliable friend who always wants to help those closest to him with his sharp wit and vast knowledge. According to his history in the games he’s been in, Tao isn’t a very good fighter. But you’ll be happy to know that he can be a powerful character in Atelier Resleriana if you give him the right tools.

Attackers of the Strike type, like Tao, deal extra damage to enemies who are missing a state effect. Given his kit, his best job is as a DPS or Sub-DPS who can also make your status effect skills proc more often. Best Teammates for Tao in Atelier Resleriana
Tao can be a good DPS unit, but only as long as you pair him up with partners that can cause status effects on your enemies. There are a few units that pair up well with Tao, on account of them being able to status effect skills:
- Odelia (can inflict Paralysis)
- Iksel (can inflict Burn)
- Cordelia (can inflict Poison)
He is a Strike-type Physical Attacker, so the Memorias we suggest you outfit him with are Searching for the Heavenly City which has Physical D damage Up II, The Meowst Sunny Spot with Damage Up I, and lastly The Land of Carrots with Attacker Damage Up I.
Feel free to pick other Memorias based on your team mix, such as An Angel’s Kindness (Burns Damage Up II) if you manage to get Iskel at your party. Just remember that it has to improve Tao’s damage in some way.
