Do you want to stealth a heist in Payday 3 but don’t know how to threaten the civilians to get down? Well, you can do that either by shouting at them or shooting near them.
It is a bit odd that the game tutorial doesn’t teach you how to shout at people. As it is important for crowd control and to avoid any unnecessary casualties during the heist. So, let’s crack it!
How To Tell Civilians To Get Down?
It is pretty straightforward. By default, the game maps the Shout Command on the same button you use to Ping locations and launch the Communications Wheel.
How To Shout At Civilians?
If you’re on a PC, you need to press the middle mouse button. As for a controller, just press up on your D-pad.
You also have the option to change the key bindings, so you can assign any other button for the Shout Command. For PC players, I would suggest changing it because pressing the middle mouse button is just awkward.
Furthermore, the shout command may be ineffective if civilians are unaware of your presence. So, you can just point your gun toward them and then use the Shout Command. This’ll work every time!
Once you shout at the civilians, the NPCs will either put their hands in the air or get down on the ground. From there you can either tie them up or take them as a human shield.
If you have played Payday 2, you may get confused by the fact that you can’t spam using the shout command in Payday 3. Once the ‘!’ sign is off the civilians’ heads, it means they’re complying, so you won’t be able to shout at them again.
