Modern Warfare 2 Sniper Rifles Tier List -Good snipers are hard to counter in CoD MW2, find out where each weapon ranks in this ranking.
Sniper-kill one-hit kills are incredibly satisfying in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2. With the all-new Ground War and Invasion game modes, coordinated shooting on large maps and accumulating kills through non-stop action is an explosive experience. Modern Warfare is notorious for its fast-paced gameplay, and snipers keep up with the rhythm of combat.

Modern Warfare 2 Sniper Rifles Tier List – Criteria
Since all snipers have the potential to kill a target in one hit, even at long distances, we ignore time to kill and instead focus on damage range as the primary factor. The classification criteria are as follows:
- Damage Profile
- Fire Rate
- Handling / Mobility
The damage profile is the amount of damage each bullet does to a body part, and also includes how much damage falls on each body part. If you aim at another sniper, the weapon with better damage will be killed more often.
Since snipers have two typical uses: standard long-range scopes and fast scopes, Handling and Movility are combined. Faster aiming (ADS) speed is better for fast scopes, while better aiming control is better for spending time lining up shots.
Fire Rate refers to the time interval between shots, and since all snipers deal very similar damage, shooting multiple targets faster usually means more kills.

Modern Warfare 2 Sniper Rifles Tier List – Best Sniper Rifles
The Signal 50 has the highest rate of fire and best long-range damage curve of any sniper rifle. While the scope and reload speed is the slowest, you can still hit many targets quickly at any range. It has slightly taller limbs and lower torso damage for true long-range shooting. Due to the slower bullet velocity, some adjustments may be required for very distant shots due to bullet drop.

The SP-X-80 will be a sniper with a fast scope. It’s very light and maneuverable, has a fast ADS time and a slightly faster rate of fire compared to other snipers (except for the Signal 50, which is more suitable for long-range combat). You’ll see that this weapon has a lot of lethality, but don’t worry too much about the reload speed, which is also the fastest LA-B 330. We will definitely be using this sniper in the many highlights of the upcoming clip.

Modern Warfare 2 Sniper Rifle Tier List – Great Sniper Rifles
The MCPR-300 is a sniper rifle unlocked by default and by no means a bad sniper. However, it performs slightly better than the Signal 50 due to its ranged fire damage curve. It has the slowest rate of fire of any sniper; you can fire nearly 3 rounds with the Signal 50 before the MCPR-300 gets another. Both the Signal 50 and the MCPR-300 are better suited for long range shots due to the slower ADS.

Modern Warfare 2 Sniper Rifle Tier List – Worst Sniper Rifles
To say the LA-B 330 is the worst is really unfair, but someone has to do it. We really feel like it’s basically the SP-X 80’s younger brother. It’s a great light sniper that works great in fast scope situations, but once you unlock the SP-X 80, you’ll want to make the Switch. It is only marginally better in handling, damage range, rate of fire, and base ammo count.
