If you play Risk of Rain 2 on PC, you can also unlock every character using the cheats
Risk of Rain 2 Unlock Characters – Commando
Commando is the default character, so you dont need to unlock him
Huntress
The Huntress is one of the easiest characters to unlock. You just need to beat 3 levels in a row and you will be able to play with her. But take in mind that if you use a blue portal to complete one level, wont count.
Risk of Rain 2 Unlock Characters – MUL-T
To get MUL-T you have to complete the first level 5 times, without including teleport.
Mercenary
To will have to clear seven stages in one run and go through a special Celestial Teleporter. Obliterate yourself at the obelisk and the Mercenary will be yours
Engineer
To get the Engineer you have to beat 30 levels, but of course not in a row, so it´s easier than it seems
Artificer
You can unlock the Artificier spending lunar coins, and at least you need 10. The Artificier is located at the ice prison, in the blue item shop, but the blue item shop portal spawns randomly at the end of the stages. If you dont mind to spend another lunar coin, you can force it to appear. Just spend one lunar coin at the Altar of Newt and the Blue Item Shop Portal will appear.
Rex
First you need the Fuel Array, located at the back of the drop pod you land inside of. The find Rex on the upper levels of the Abyssal Depths, zone 4.
