Realmwalkers, gather around for Nightingale has dropped it’s first-ever patch. Since this is the first patch of the game, there is a lot of ground to cover. So without further ado, let’s hop right into the patch notes.

Bug Fixes
Progression Blockers
- Implemented fixes for various crashes
- If you now force quit the game, network errors or progression resets will no longer take place
- Creatures will no longer disappear during Vault encounters
- Additional certifications have been added that should stop antivirus software like AVG from obstructing Nightingale’s launch
- The quest “Keep the Beast at Bay” from Shiv Pierson should no longer be blocked by logging out or leaving the Realm. This should be fixed for those who have previously encountered this problem
- The Byway (tutorial) Realms underwent a few modifications to fix a number of crashes, progress obstructions, and general incorrect game states.
Art/Visual
- Character creator should no longer produce SFX spam when scrolling quickly
- Legs become invisible once “Calcularian Boots” and Trapper’s Shoes (Critter) are removed
- There are no longer see-through gaps in the Forest and Desert Bunker POI
- Unintentional floating assets were removed at the Forest Ruins POI
- Repaired missing water mesh in Astrolabe Swamp and the Desert Herbarium small oasis POI
- Some Forest map instances now have missing waves added to them
- The intended animation is now used in the third-person Mystic Climbing Pick animation
- The player’s primary hand animation should no longer lock after dashing with a lantern
- Poison Trap VFX now has a cooldown to keep it from becoming stuck
- Third-person Climbing Pick Magick VFX should now appear
- The fog effects of Ghost Cards ought to appear more uniform across all performance configurations
- Added warping to the starfield at night
- Brick top and bottom patterns of the pagoda foundation now line up
- Visual Minor Card effects should now be eliminated by cleansing the Minor Card
- Hoover visual effects shouldn’t lock while the player is moving.
Audio/SFX
- The Star Map Room’s soundtrack no longer becomes stuck when descending stairs
- Player pain sounds should stop when gear score increases
- Some erratic sound effects when demolishing bustable objects have been fixed
- The sound effect when eating berries is fixed
- Sound artifact that resembled knocking was eliminated from the Refined Enchanter’s Focus
- The Watch’s Fae Starmap music shouldn’t fade in and out anymore
- Now, spells using the Enchanted Repair Hammer have sound effects
- Estate Cairne sound loop next to Aurelio was removed
- Completed the missing build sounds for a number of structures, including the Stick Tent, Simple Wooden Table, Enchantment Station, Crystal Ball, Plant Box, and Stone Carving Block
Building
- Currently able to adorn the underside of higher floor pieces with light decorations
- Steady seed growth in the Plant Box and Simple Plant Pot
- Even when on point-of-interest structures like damaged pillars, estate cairns should establish rest areas
- Now, crude transom arches hold up roofs
- Rain should no longer be able to pass through the components of the crude peaked roof, crude peaked corner roof, and desert roof
- Now that Stave Trianble is fully rotating

- Remedies for the sporadic issue where players are unable to add resources to Build Encounters
- Alchemical Boilers and Legal Augments should now be connected
Controls
- After a player dies, keybind changes shouldn’t break anymore
- Players are now able to remap the talk-to-push key
- Your non-TAB key should now be respected when inventory rebinds
Controller Fixes
- Now, players are able to move around the welcome screens
- Can now choose the Ammo radial menu’s Options section
- Able to take map markers off of the map
- Must be able to fully navigate the Simple Upgrade Bench
- Updates to inputs for umbrella gliding
- You can now turn your character around in the Character Creation Menu
- D-pad control cycle swapping on the toolbars
- When it comes to another tileset piece, blueprints ought to be able to rotate
Economy
- Items can now have Time Infusions and Gossamer assigned to them
- Benches are no longer able to upgrade Makeshift Torches
- 1 second crafting bench timers are no longer sufficient to prevent VFX/SFX errors
- Player power levels are no longer increased by umbrella gliding
NPCs
- After death, Wheelhead Bound Hammer ought to be put away

- The Winchester should no longer loop the animation when you reload it while aiming
- Various character creator menu stability adjustments
- The camera should no longer malfunction when you switch categories while in the Eye Detail screen
- Customization is no longer interrupted by ESC while in the naming panel
- No longer should adjusting the color intensity of your makeup wipe off all of your makeup if Color B is not selected
- The eye position should now be affected by the Eye Manipulation reset button
- The player character is altered by clicking the Random button on the Inheritance screen
- Facial restructuring should no longer involve stretching out the mustaches
- After shaving your facial hair, the hard difficulty hat should no longer snap to your face
- When gathering while swimming, a third hand should no longer be used

- The Elder Eoten life bar no longer lasts over distance
- The Charm of Stealth is not always evident
- When returning to a server, in progress bench timers ought to continue
- The items in Death Chests should no longer be spaced unevenly apart
- When players queue up tasks on the Bench UI, the erratic flickering was eliminated
- Key shortcuts that were broken after viewing the fuel widget should now be fixed

- Red mushroom and tiered plant resource textures have been updated
- Inventory Transfer Menus’ text and backgrounds have been changed to improve legibility
- Gem Material adjusted for Lighting
- Removed the VFX Essence from the Infusions
- Drayman’s Ensemble and Hat were added
- Modified rock shapes to make it easier for players to identify harvestable rock
- One deer stag model’s texture was altered to match the others’.
- Added the absent Nightingale symbols to the vendors of Tileset.
Building
- Crafting Stations now get Threatened status when near hostile creatures
Controls
- Controls to rotate through the Offhand Toolbar have been added (ALT + MMB)
- Character Creator now has gamepad navigation support
- Fan the Hammer has been changed to a Hold skill
- Pressing ESC should now close the menus for crafting and storage
- Using the guidebook search without becoming distracted.
Economy/Balancing
- Costs of firearms dropped from $1,300 to just $100.
- The Hungry/Tired debuff has been adjusted to be less harsh.
- Water Bottle Essence exploit removed
- Excavated Rocks for Ammo Utilization
- Price and item adjustments at Essence Trader stores
- Essence Trader stores now have the missing resources added.
- Adjustments to balance for Shockwave Spell
- Adjustments to the Magic balance
- Adjustments to the balance for resource drops
- Additional Lunar Nectar available in stores
- The reach of mauls, climbing picks, mining picks, and axepicks has been increased.
Player Character
- Damage will no longer be dealt to players while Return to Respite is loading
- Gamers won’t unknowingly lose Watch awards if their inventory is full
- Easy loadout will be automatically installed in the backpack
- For better gaming performance, ancestors’ cloth physics were removed
- Strong makeup should no longer be a default for ancestors.
Resources
- Modified Water Cabbage Interaction Box
- Added Discoveries to Hope Echoes in Ascended Realms
- Additional localization has been added for potions and healing salves
- Sickles are now used to harvest glow spores.
- Colorful Glass now needs Glass in order to be crafted
- Raw Berries (Tea) is now known as Spice Tea
- Deleted from POIs any invalid Fae Vases.
UI/UX
- Keybind hints for raising and lowering structures have been added.
- One pet at a time can only be active in the Realm, as noted in the Pet Bed description
- Closing the menu now requires pressing Return to Respite
- Icons for clothing, Twitch Drops, tools, guns, coffee recipe, and distinctive wood bundles have been added
- Enhanced damage narrative
- For upcoming updates, a banner announcing pending maintenance has been added to the main menu
- For upcoming updates, the Shard Error message has been changed to “Servers unavailable.”
- User-facing game version numbers have been added to the debug screen and main menu

NPCs
- Additional loot shimmer when pawns gather resources
- Recruited NPCs can accompany you in private vaults, but they won’t accompany you in vaults accessed through The Watch
- Damage outputs for larger and legendary creatures have been modified
- In Offering Quests, NPCs won’t attack passive creatures
- Eliminated Encounter Vendors
- The majority of NPC stores have altered their inventory and prices, making previously inaccessible items like Ornate Spyglass accessible
- Instead of dropping meat and bones when they die, Critter Eoten’s now drop wood.
- Hunt Site of Power is limited to one Bishop and one Knight and no longer spawns random combinations of Automatons.
Misc
- Disabled Nvidia DLSS frame generation due to causing some GPU crashes. Players have the option to turn it back on if needed.
- FSR upscaling is once again available. However, we’ll take some time to introduce FSR frame generation due to stability issues.
