Overwatch 2 Tank Tier List – Don’t miss our list of tank class character levels in Overwatch 2. Choose your team well and launch them to victory!

With the release of Overwatch 2, the tank class was completely turned upside down. By removing a tank from both teams and putting on shields in each match, they care less about protecting their teammates and more about getting into the fray and carving out a path to victory. Here’s a ranking of the best tank heroes in Overwatch 2.

Overwatch 2 Tank Tier List

Overwatch 2 Tank Tier List – Tier S

  • D.Va
  • Junker Queen
  • Orisa

Like the first Overwatch, D.Va is a character who can do a lot. She can overwhelm the enemy team while blocking and protecting her team with the Defense Matrix. Orisa’s rework specifically turns her into a combat threat, giving her new weapons and more survivability in scraps. She no longer needs to hide behind a barrier shield. She will look at your face and outlive you. As for the Queen Junker, she is one of the toughest enemies to defeat thanks to her high health regeneration chance and commanding roar ability. She easily outlasts the others in combat and has the thinnest hitbox of any tank.

Overwatch 2 Tank Tier List – Tier A

  • Reinhardt
  • Roadhog
  • Winston
  • Tracer And Genji

Reinhardt is still the most reliable shield, but now his attack abilities have been modified to be better. In contrast, Roadhog is basically the same as Overwatch 1, but his hook has become stronger and harder to guard. He will pull many enemies out of position and use Breathe to escape. Winston’s place here has more to do with the strength of Tracer and Genji and what we think is the viability of competitive diving.

Tier B

  • Wrecking Ball
  • Zarya

In the first Overwatch, Zarya was always at her best as a support tank. Now that she can place multiple bubble shields on herself and teammates at the same time, she can recharge her weapons faster. Zarya still has some of the best ultimates in the game, but doesn’t have much movement or survivability to control combat. Wrecking Ball may have the highest survivability potential in Overwatch 2, but you need to know how to use it well before you can get the most out of it.

Tier C

  • Doomfist
  • Sigma

Doomfist entering the tank slot may take some time to get right. That’s right, its damage has been greatly reduced to improve its mobility and survivability. It can slow down enemies, but it’s not necessarily a must-have at this point. Sigma still has the returning gear from Game 1, but now he’ll be the only tank on the team that can be easily teamed up. He’s not really ready to serve as a solo tank in a team.
