The war horse is one of the best horses you can find in RDR2, and we are going to teach you how to get it, because is totally worthwile and really easy to unlock:

As of today, there are only two known ways to get the War Horse, via Pre-order bonus or via Cheat or Code:

Pre-order bonus

If you booked the game, a War Horse is one of the rewards. It won’t unblock automatically so you must finish the Hosea mission in chapter 2 “exit pursued by a bruised ego” before.

In that mission you’ll have to take his horse to the town and sell it. You take it to Amos Levi Blacksmith & Farrier and after a conversation you’ll be able to buy a horse from the store. One of the horses is Ardennes, the War Horse.

Trick or code

But if you didn´t pre order you can still unlock the war horse using one of the cheats or codes:

One of the available tricks in RDR2 is the power to instantly call upon the war horse.

To use the tricks or codes in RDR2, go to menu – pause – go to settings and tap:

• PS4: triangle
• Xbox One: Y

After that, to call upon the warhorse write “you are a beast built for war”, and it will be yours instantly.
