Genshin Impact - In Search of Lost Time Quest Guide

Looking for Lost Time Genshin Impact is a world quest that was added in update 4.1. In its four parts, it will give you a chance to learn more about the Fontaine area.

This quest aims to help Broglie, a hydrologist, find some lost data.

You might not be able to complete this task, but you want to. That’s when you should use our detailed guide, which shows you how to finish this quest and get all the prizes.

Mission Requirements

As with most Genshin Impact tasks, you need to meet a few requirements before you can start this one. However, don’t fret, it’s not impossible to solve! Learn how to get to “In Search of Lost Time Genshin Impact“:

To get to the In Search of Lost Time Genshin impact quest, you don’t have to finish the Archon quests first.

The southern part of In Search of Lost Time Quest

The initial phase of the quest brings you to the Fontaine research center. Follow the marker on your map to the southwest of the new area. Continue until you reach a damaged bridge near the river.

Broglie, a hydrologist, is on-site. Talk to him to figure out what is troubling him. Once you’ve done speaking with him, the mission may begin.

You must reach the tower located just under your feet in the water. To achieve this, just dive off the bridge. Follow the quest marker into the tower.

You are in a room with some papers floating close to a shelf. Read them to learn more about your goal and the strange method.

Now, escape the tower. A floating robot is confronting you. To kill it, use the jellyfish near it.

Once you’ve done that, the mechanism will eventually unlock. To open the door at the bottom of the tower, perform a regular assault on the mechanism.

Hurry, since the entrance will only be open for a brief period. If you have not had time to enter the door, press the mechanism again.

Activate the Console

Turn on the console in your current room. This phase of the quest might be a bit tedious since you’ll need to transfer energy across gadgets. If you don’t want to spend your time hunting for them, here are their locations:

One on the ceiling
One on the left-hand wall
One towards the bottom of the room
One under the bookcase

Solving this question will open a tunnel going to the upper room. On your way, you can pick up a Hydroculus.

In the top room, all you have to do is activate the terminal to restore the lost data.

The West, the Second Part of the Quest

The second phase of the journey brings you to the Liffey area. From the teleporter, go north. A massive skyscraper stands in front of you. Go inside.

You must ascend to the final level. However, be cautious as skirmishers await you on every level. You must eliminate them all before you may ascend to safety.

As you descend the last staircase, you will hear a voice. Continue up until you reach a blocked corridor. Return to the previous level and check the message on the table.

You will learn about the existence of two Fatui camps and their locations.

From the tower, proceed west to the first camp near the collapsed bridge. Kill all of the enemies and get the chest.

There’s nothing else to do at this camp. Search the second camp south of the tower, near the cliff.

Once again, there are several opponents in the camp. Fight them, then read the message in a little box beside the tent. This letter directs you where to go.

Head south-west of the tower. To find your way, follow the smoke. Once there, use a regular attack on the cauldron. You will face up against Commander Shumilov and his henchmen.

Activate the Stabilizer

When you have beaten your opponents, return to the tower and climb the floors to the path that was previously blocked. Enter the room and activate the stabilizer. You’re going to have to solve a new puzzle.

When you engage the stabilizer, you’ll notice a circle going up and down. The aim is to hit the stabilizer at the right time when the circle is in the marked area. The correct order for solving this problem is :

Bottom
Up
Down

If you succeed, a path to the tower attic will open. Retrieve the chest and then activate the terminal to retrieve the lost data and end this part of the task.

The northern part of In Search of Lost Time quest

The third stage of the quest In Search of Lost Time is Genshin Impact. You need to locate the third tower.

It’s situated northwest of the institution. Unfortunately, the tower’s main entrance is now closed. To go inside, you must go via the side.

Once entering, you’ll notice an unusual voice emanating from the lowest level. Only the tunnel is closed. But don’t worry, on your right, there is a system that will automatically open the route for you.

There is a new problem to solve. It’s identical to the one in the previous tower when you needed to transmit energy across many gadgets.

The premise is straightforward. Transfer energy from the storage device to the gadget on the wall to the right.

This will open up a path to continue down. Don’t forget to get the chest before heading down.

Fight the opponents in the area, then grab the red battery on the left side of the table and return one story higher. Transfer energy as previously, then retrieve the charged disc and ascend one level.

Activate the Terminal

Place the battery in the device beside the stairs and activate the terminal to access the next level. Retrieve the batteries and climb up. Place it near the stabilizer and activate it.

You’ll need to perform the same thing you did in the second tower with the ring that moves up and down. This time’s order is:

Middle
Top
Bottom

The road to the attic will open up. Go up, collect the chest, and then activate the terminal to capture the data. This section of the mission is complete.

The final stage of the In Search of Lost Time Quest

Once you’ve finished the three stages of In Search of Lost Time quest, you may get to the final stage. You need to return to Broglie, who this time is in the treatment station.

As you travel to inspect the station, you’ll be attacked by a bunch of opponents. Eradicate them and get into the station.

Progress floor by floor, killing all the opponents in your way. When you reach the last level, a final bunch of enemies will be waiting for you. Stop them once and for all to recover the known data and return it to Broglie.

Completing In Search of Lost Time Genshin Impact will unlock the ‘Forgotten Kingdom’ achievement.
