In its latest report, GTA publisher Take-Two said that GTA V has now sold 215 million copies. That’s 5 million more than in the last report. This number includes some copies that are in stores but haven’t been bought by customers yet. GTA V has sold about 5 million copies every three months this year.
Red Dead Redemption 2 also did well, selling 4 million copies in the last three months. It’s been the top-selling game in the U.S. over the past seven years based on how much money it made.
This happened even though Rockstar hasn’t updated Red Dead Redemption 2 in a long time.
On the other hand, GTA Online keeps getting new content. During a recent call with investors, Take-Two’s CEO, Strauss Zelnick, said that GTA V is one of the most important games in the industry.
