Do you keep getting frozen in the battles or do your characters keep dying because of the ice falling from the sky?
If you’ve been nodding along since now, don’t worry! You’re not alone in this, most Genshin Impact players have a hard time clearing this challenge on their first attempt.
In this article, I’ll share some useful tips to help you complete this challenge with time to spare.
How To Beat Starglow Cavern Challenge In Genshin Impact?
In this challenge, you get only three minutes to finish off 14 enemies. So time is the key here. Out of the 4 waves, the first three are a cakewalk, if you use the right strategy.
Cyro Res Portion
Before you begin the challenge, I would recommend popping some food and using the Cryo RES portion, if you have it. I think it’s the most ideal situation in the entire game to use the Cryo RES portion. Once you’re done with the food & portions, it’s time to begin the challenge.
If you have double Pyro on your account, this challenge would be a lot easier for you. But even if you don’t, you can pass the first three waves by dodging the ice attacks from the enemies and staying away from the water. You can reach the enemies by rushing along the edges. This will save you a lot of time that you might lose by getting frozen.
Beating The Starglow Cavern
If you’re not so good at dodging and have a sharp aim, you can use Amber shoot from a distance, to avoid getting hit by ice attacks. For the Samachurls on the towers, you can either use Amber’s Shoot Attack or Razor’s Rage Attack.
ProTip: Try to complete the first three waves as quickly as possible, so you have more than enough time in the fourth one.
Once you’re done with the first three waves, it’s time to deal with the actual hard part. And if you’ve followed the strategy till now, you would have half of your time to finish the job.
The problem with the Cryo Abyss Mages is that they appear on the water and they have protective shields. Also, you need to look out for the Hillchurls on the side shooting you.
First, there is no need to rush towards them to attack. You need to stay on the dry land for a few seconds, and the mages will teleport towards you. You can acquire Xiangling from the spiral abyss and use her burst attack to break the shields of the Cryo Abyss Mages. And finally, with some last final blows to the mages, the battle is yours!
Does the level of the Character Matter?
If you’ve been playing the game for a while and you’re good at dodging enemy attacks, then the character level isn’t very important. However, if you’re new at this game and not as agile in dodging attacks, then I would suggest close to level 50. For further assistance, you can also craft Cryo-RES portions and cook food to enhance your defense damage resistance.
