Calling all Necro Rumblers! It’s time to test your limits and conquer the levels of Necro Rumble. This game was released in early January 2024 from developer Tesepa and published by Jungle Game Lab. This rouge-like 2d strategy game lets you test out the dark art of necromancy by defeating legions of enemies using your own undead battalion.
Character Selection
Starting off the guide will be the Character Selection in which you will have two to choose from:
-
Necro-Man
– Health: 150; Starting Undead Maximum: 3; Experience gained per Sacrifice: 2; Revive once when critically damaged
-
Necnyan
– Health: 200; Starting Undead Maximum: 2 ‘Maximum Undead cannot exceed 6’; Restores Undead with Primary Attacks and 50% more Undead Health and Attack
Gameplay
As with any rogue-like games in this genre, it plays much like Vampire Survivor where you roam around killing enemies while collecting treasure boxes to upgrade your skills. In Necro Rumble, however, you get to play as a necromancer and will have your very own undead army helping you throughout your gameplay.
Treasures
The battlefield in Necro Rumble is littered with treasure chests. As soon as you find one, open it to get a chance to upgrade or even gain new powers and skills to fight off your incoming enemies.
Skill Selection
There are many skills you can acquire, both passive and active, that can help you through your run time. Depending on your play, prioritizing your undead horde’s attack abilitiy versus your character’s damage might be better in early game.
Hit and Run
As you encounter treasure chests, some of them might be guarded by a few enemies. The trick to playing Necro Rumble is knowing when you’re outmatched. Play smartly by doing a hit and run; hit them initially then run away. Do these things a few times to let your undead cohorts gain experience.
More Health
In the early run of your Necro Rumble game, once your undead soldier levels up, prioritize more health for your troops. This will ensure their survival when fighting with your enemies.
Always in the Back
You play as a necromancer in Necro Rumble, not a warrior so let your minions do the grunt of the work. Always position yourself behind your troops. Remember that your undead can take as much damage as they can get as long as you survive.
Look Out!
Don’t just go willy nilly across the map. Surveil your surroundings as there might be even stronger enemies lurking around you. Start your battles with low level enemies to build up experience.
Line Attack
Your main attack is a projectile orb that passes through enemies so keep this in mind. When attacking a group, run a bit further away from them to make them line up when trying to catch you. The majority of the enemies will line up, wait to unleash your attack and slaughter them dead.
Jumpin Jumpin
Though there is a cooldown, Keep repositioning your undead hordes by using the Q button to let your troops jump where you want them to go. A surprise attack or a strategic retreat is pivotal in surviving Necro Rumble.
That’s about it for Necro Rumble. Keep on playing and remember, if you looking for more guides and tips, check out the section here.
