Cat Goes Fishing Map – Regions
The Bay Map
The player starts the game in The Bay, which is the region that is most near the coast. The majority of the fish there are common and simple to capture, including cuddlefish, mustardfish, and cowfish. It is the westernmost region on the map.
Open Sea Map
The area immediately east of the Bay is known as the open sea. It includes numerous fish species that are uncommon and colorful as well as certain fish found in the Bay, like Seraphs and Grumpers.
The Coral Reef Map
The Coral Reef is home to many uncommon and unique fish species that are not typically found closer to land, such the Clownfish, Dire Trillow, and Josie. A substantial underwater escarpment known as the reef wall separates it from the open ocean. The coral reef caves are accessible from a shallow basin to the left of the actual reef.
The Drop Off Map
A large cave known as “The empty cave” divides The Drop off, a region east of the coral reef. In the drop off, there are not many fish. It is where the Dragon is primarily located.
The Silo Map
Beyond the Drop-Off is a deep stretch of open ocean known as The Silo, often referred to as the Open Ocean or Distant Ocean. A nuclear silo’s abandoned entrance, which doubles as a sonar jammer, is located on the bottom, and the area’s waters have been so highly radioactively contaminated that certain fish are starting to develop mutations. Numerous odd fish can be discovered in this region, including the unsettling Abyssal.
The Plateau Map
Beyond the Silo is a broad, level area known as the Plateau. The left side has a massive cave network with three main tunnels that are closed off by rocks, although it is rough and little populated above ground. A Buffalofish must be used to split these rocks. A vast kelp and luminous plant forest covers the right half of the Plateau. Its subsurface is a sizable labyrinth filled with tight passageways.
The Furthest Ocean Map
The region after the Plateau is the farthest ocean. It is only home to a few fish, including a single Bulbeater, Yellow Carp, and Problematicus.
