Is Deep Rock Galactic Cross Platform? – Xbox, PlayStation & PC – There is cross play, but not between all platforms, we explain below

It depends on what version of the game you have, since in summary the Xbox One and Microsoft Store versions are compatible and have Cross Play, but the Steam version does currently NOT support Cross Platform Play, not even with the Steam version. Windows 10 from Microsoft Store

Recommendation: Unless your friends have the Steam version, buy the Microsoft Store version, which is the one with Cross Play between Xbox One and PC

Is Deep Rock Galactic Cross Platform – Xbox & Microsoft Store

The Xbox One,  Xbox Series X/S/ and Windows 10 PC version from the Microsoft Store is an Xbox Play Anywhere Title, so yes:

• If you buy the game in the Microsoft Store you get it for both Xbox One and Windows 10 – PC
• Xbox One players will be able to play matches with Microsoft 10 players, as long as both have purchased the game through the Microsoft Store

Is Deep Rock Galactic Cross Platform – Steam

The Steam version does currently not support Cross Platform Play

So if you purchased the game through Steam, you will only be able to play with other players who also purchased the game through Steam. You will not be able to play with Xbox One players, nor with Windows 10 – PC players who purchased the game through the Microsoft Store

Is Deep Rock Galactic Cross Platform – PlayStation

PlayStation does not have Cross Play, but it does have Cross Generation Play, that is, you can play from your PS4 against players who play from PS5. But neither PS4 nor PS5 players will be able to play against those on Steam, PC or Xbox

This may change in the coming months, and although we do not believe that the cross platform between PlayStation and Steam will arrive soon, we do believe that Cross Play between PlayStation, Xbox and Windows PC (Microsoft Store) will arrive. In the long term, all platforms, including Steam, should be connected. But for now, if you’re a PC gamer, we think full cross-play will be coming to the Microsoft Store sooner.

Google Stadia

At the moment there is no information on whether Deep Rock Galactic will be available on Google Stadia, or whether it will have Cross Platform or Cross Play
