The reroll process is relatively easy and not too long, so we recommend getting x2 top 5-star characters (Tier SS & Tier S, check the next section). Although the truth is there is not much difference between the 5-star characters, so rerolling or not should not be a matter of necessity, but that you are not happy with the results
Octopath Traveler Champions of the Continent Reroll Guide & Tier List – Reroll Steps
These are the steps to reroll:
- Launch the game (Octopath Traveler CotC), Create a New Account and claim your 5-star guaranteed character
- Complete the Tutorial, claim your in-game mail rewards (rubies) and try to get another top 5-star unit from the summon banner
- If you are not happy with the results, clear the data and repeat the previous steps.
- iOS: Uninstall and Reinstall the game
- Android: Clear game data & cache

Try to aim for Tier S, they are very easy to get, and at worst some Tier A, which are also pretty good.

Tier S are the best characters of the game, really OP:
