There are not to many ranged weapons in the game, so we show you how to get one for the early game and the best of the game:
Simple Bow
The Simple Bow is not the best ranged weapon in the game, but really useful when you find it, early in the game
How to get the Simple Bow? You can buy it, but you can also get it free. You can find it in Blister Burrow
Outward Best Weapons – Horror Bow
The Horror Bow is probably the best ranged weapon in Outward
How to get the Horror Bow? You have to craft it, but of course we give you the recipe and tips for the ingredients:
- 2x Horror Chitin: Farm this ingredient killing Shell Horror (you can find a lot in Cabal of the wind temple)
- 1x War Bow: Dropped by archer bandits in some places, for example in Enmerkar Forest
- 1x Occult Remains: An item you can buy for 30 silver from the Burning Man
Outward Best Weapons Guide – Early Game
These are not the best weapons in the game, but there are the best you can get in the early game:
Quarterstaff
The Quarterstaff is a two handed weapon really easy to find and also very useful for the early game
How to get the Quarterstaff? Exit the Lighthouse and search among the yellow bushes
Felling Greataxe
The Felling Greataxe is a two handed weapon really easy to find and also very useful for the early game
How to get the Felling Greataxe? Find it in front of the Town Hall (east of Cierzo)
Outward Best Weapons – Machete
The Machete is a one handed weapon really easy to find and also very useful for the early game
How to get the Machete? Find it in the beach (north west of Cierzo), close to the fish
Plank Shield
The Plank Shield is a not a weapon, but very useful to combine with one handed weapons, like the Machete.

Tuanosaur Greataxe
The Tuanosaur Greataxe is the strongest axe and also one of the strongest melee weapons in the game.
How to get the Tuanosaur Greataxe? You have to craft it, but of course we give you the recipe and tips for the ingredients:
- 2x Alpha Tuanosaur tail: Farm Tuanosaurs for example in Hallowed Marsh
- 1x Brutal Greataxe: Located in Vendavel, Immaculate´s cave and also in Damp Hunter´s Cabin (Enmerkar Forest)
- 1x Palladium Scrap: Farm Paladium in Enmerkar Forest, Hallowed Marsh or also in Abrassar
Tsar Claymore
The Tsar Claymore is a super strong sword that also has infinite durability
How to get the Tsar Claymore? You have to craft it, but of course we give you the recipe and tips for the ingredients:
- 2x Tsar Stone: Farm Tsar stones in the Electric Lab (Abrassar) and also inthe Dark Ziggurat (Jade lich)
- 1x Hackmanite: The best spot to farm hackmanite is the Conflux Mountain (Aurai)
- 1x Palladium Scrap: Farm Paladium in Enmerkar Forest, Hallowed Marsh or also in Abrassar
Outward Best Weapons – Worldedge Greataxe
The Worldedge greataxe is one of the Outward best weapons due to its high decay damage
How to get the Worldedge greataxe? You have to defeat the Hive Lord Boss at the Forest Hives Cave (Southeast of Enmerkar Forest)
Pillar Greathammer
The Pillar Greathammer is also and with any doubt one of the Outward Best weapons
How to get the Pillar Greathammer? Find this weapon in Spire of Light (Hallowed Marsh), very close to a Legacy Chest, in the wall behind
Thrice Wrought Halberd
The Thrice Wrought Halberd has fire and also frost power combined
How to get the Thrice Wrought Halberd? Kill 5 Shell Horrors in Cabal of Winds Temple (southwest of Enmerkar Forest) and you will find this weapon once the wall in the main chamber disappears
