Table of Contents
Story-Based Achievements
You will earn three achievements simply by playing through Detention‘s main story. You cannot miss these as long as you complete the game.

Foreign land
You obtain this first story-based achievement when you complete the 1st chapter. It unlocks after Ray wakes up in front of an old command post while paper planes fall around her.
More than a teacher
You earn this second story achievement during Chapter 3. It unlocks after you go to the movie theater with Mr. Chang.
I am who I am
You receive this third and final story achievement at the beginning of the 4th chapter, right after Ray has a conversation with her soul.

Action-Specific Achievements
Two achievements require you to perform specific actions at certain points in the game.

Outstanding observer
To unlock this achievement, you must find more than 90% of all observation points. The method is very simple. As you play through the first three chapters, you should hover your mouse all over the screen in every room and new area. When your cursor passes over an observation point, it will change into an eye icon. Click your mouse every time you see this icon. If you remain thorough, you will unlock this achievement easily.
What made you think this would work?
You can get this achievement in Chapter 2. When you enter the teachers’ offices building, go into the first room. Inside, you will find a phone. Interact with the phone to pick it up. Once you are holding the receiver, dial either 110 or 119. This action will pop the achievement.

The Collector: All 23 Note and Clue Locations
This achievement requires you to find all 23 collectible notes and clues scattered throughout the game. This total does not include the two notes you find in Wei’s notebook at the very start. We have listed all 23 items below in the order you can find them.

- Note 10/23: Enter the health center. This note rests on the desk inside.
- Note 11/23 (Clue #4): On the 1st floor (1F), find the gambling room located behind Mr. Kao’s room. You must have 3 dice to obtain this note.
- Note 12/23 (Clue #5): This clue is in Mr. Kao’s room, sitting on the stool. A side note: this clue only appears after you have acquired the dice/teeth note (Note #11).
- Note 13/23 (Clue #6): You can get this clue in the 3rd floor (3F) classroom. You must use the blood you collected from Wei on the table. After you do this, place your notebook on the blood engravings.

- Note 17/23 (Clue #8): This note is on the same floor as the previous one. Head towards the left, and you will find it on a cart.

Chapter 3
- Note 18/23: Find this note on the floor, located to the left of Ray’s parents’ room.
- Note 19/23: This note appears on the dining table where Ray’s parents were eating. It will only appear after you complete the clock puzzle and have the meeting with Mr. Chang.

- Note 21/23: Find this note on the desk after the secret book club meeting cutscene.
- Note 22/23: After the book burning cutscene, go all the way to the left. You will find this note on a shrine.
- Note 23/23: You will find this final note on a chair after the cutscene where old Wei plays the piano.

How to Get the Good Ending (“Back to school”)
This achievement unlocks when you get the game’s good ending. So, to do this, you must fulfill two important conditions.

First, you must collect the last three notes (#21, #22, and #23) from Chapter 4. Please review the “Collector” section to ensure you have them.
Second, you must answer all four questions from Ray’s soul correctly. As you progress, you will be asked a total of four questions. You must select the specific answers listed below.
- Question #1: Choose the answer “Losing myself”.
- Question #2: Choose the answer “to escape”.
- Question #3: Choose the answer “Take hold of your destiny”.
- Question #4: Choose the answer “Try to take them back”.
After you answer all four questions correctly and leave the roof, an item called the “yellowed paper plane” will be on the floor between the two sets of stairs. You must pick up this paper plane.
After this, go down the stairs and out the door to trigger a cutscene. You will then play as Wei after his imprisonment. Walk to the school and go up to Wei’s classroom. Wei will sit in his chair. The “Back to school” achievement will unlock after the end of the credits.

How to Get the Bad Ending (“Everyone loves you”)

This achievement unlocks when you get the game’s bad ending. Earning this ending is simpler than the good ending.
To get the bad ending, you just need to give the wrong answers to Ray’s soul. When you face the four questions, provide any answer other than the correct ones listed in the “Back to school” section. Giving even one wrong answer will lock you into this path.
Proceed with the game until you reach the part on the roof with old Wei smoking. Walk down the stairs. If you see Ray’s soul standing between the sets of stairs as you walk down, it confirms you have successfully triggered the bad ending.
