Unlocking Auto-Battle in Honkai Star Rail – Steps
The auto-battle and speed-up battle features aren’t readily accessible when you first start playing Honkai: Star Rail. To unlock these features, you’ll need to complete Herta’s first Simulated World, a tutorial sequence that introduces the game’s weekly roguelike mission. After completing the Simulated World tutorial, you’ll gain access to auto-battle and speed-up battles, making combat more manageable.
Activating Auto-Battle in Honkai: Star Rail
Once you’ve unlocked the auto-battle feature, follow these steps to activate it during a fight:
- Start a battle in Honkai: Star Rail.
- Look at the top-right corner of your screen to view various battle options.
- Identify the middle button, which represents auto-battle. When activated, this button will automate the battle for you, using your available skill points and Ultimate charge.
Note: Auto-battle isn’t suitable for situations where careful planning is required, as it will consume all available skill points and Ultimate charge.
The other two buttons in the battle options menu include:
- The rightmost button, which pauses the battle and offers the option to retreat. This button also displays your current objective, potential HSR drops, and enables adjustments to battle settings.
- The leftmost button, which doubles the battle speed. This option accelerates battles, but character animations may be less detailed.
In story-based boss battles, auto-battle and speed-up features will be disabled by default but can be manually reactivated during the fight.
When to Use Auto-Battle in Honkai: Star Rail
Auto-battle is most effective in situations where you’re confident of victory, as it may not efficiently utilize your skill points and Ultimates. It’s best to reserve auto-battle for repetitive HSR fights, such as when challenging a Calyx.
