How to Unlock Ending B and Farm 300K+ Materials Per Hour in ENDER MAGNOLIA

Last Updated on 16 January, 2026

Deep within the Land of Fumes, mysteries fester in the fog. ENDER MAGNOLIA: Bloom in the Mist offers players a world rich with sorrow, secrets, and complex systems. You will likely find yourself drawn to two major aspects of this experience. First, you might encounter a mysterious woman in white who seems out of place in this blighted land. Second, you will inevitably hit a wall where you desperately need materials to upgrade your gear.

This post tackles both of these pillars. We will walk you through the entire narrative arc of the Traveling Priestess, ensuring you unlock the secret Ending B. Then, we will switch gears to pure efficiency. We will show you exactly how to farm over 300,000 materials per hour so you never have to worry about resources again.

Let us clear the mist and get to work.

Did You Know? The game’s stunning 2D art style was directly influenced by the director’s admiration for the studio Vanillaware (creators of Odin Sphere and Unicorn Overlord). Director Keisuke Okabe revealed in an interview that he originally wanted to work for Vanillaware as a university student.

Profile of a Stranger: The Traveling Priestess

When you traverse the dangerous locales of this game, most faces you meet are twisted by the Blight or lost in despair. The Traveling Priestess is different. According to the game description, she is a priestess hailing from a foreign land, and she is shrouded in mystery. She carries a distinct, otherworldly air about her.

She is classified as a White Priestess and is a member of the Ancients species. While the game categorizes her as a minor or recurring character, she serves as a vital lynchpin for the deeper lore of the Land of Fumes. She appears to be investigating the Blight in the Land of Fumes, choosing to indulge things at her convenience.

Behavior and Personality

Throughout the game, the Traveling Priestess remains calm, thoughtful, and calculating. She does not respond to emotional outbursts. Her attitude toward the protagonist, Lilac, is obviously friendly. She recognizes a connection with the main character based on their common origin. She believes that Lilac is also a descendant of an Ancient People and notes that Lilac’s land was also affected by the Blight.

Her concern for Lilac manifests in complex ways. In Act 3 and Act 4, the Traveling Priestess committed a lie for good. She told Lilac that she would not be able to purify Lilia without finding another way out. However, in fact, having the power of the White Priestess, theoretically she possessed this ability. Physically, she had exhausted the magical power.

She withheld this information because she sees Lilac as her equal in power. She knew that under the influence of emotions, Lilac would rush to save Lilia and lose her mind from the high concentration of Blight. By these actions, the priestess saves the situation from the risk of irreparable tragedy and delays the time until they can restore the amulet. Before the crossroads of the two finals, she supports Lilac in any of her choices.

Powers and Abilities

Based on the dialogues, the Traveling Priestess can purify Blighted Souls. This relates to the mechanics of the first part of the game series. Unlike Ender Magnolia, purified souls find eternal peace if they are not attached to the descendants of an Ancient People.

In Ender Magnolia, Lilac does not purify. She attunes infected homunculi, bringing them to life after exposure to Blight, while the homunculi remain alive. However, Lilia is a human, not a homunculus. The configuration mechanism does not apply to infected people. For these reasons, the Traveling Priestess saves Lilac twice from rash acts. Throughout the game, Lilac only encounters homunculus settings, and thanks to the knowledge of the Traveling Priestess, she will learn a new ability.

In addition to purification, only the Traveling Priestess can remove the barriers of the Ancient People or the White Priestesses who set them up to delimit dangerous zones. Lilac lacks the knowledge or ability to interact with these barriers. Presumably, the Traveling Priestess can both take them off and set them up. Finally, her experience allows her to recognize sisters by their origin and magical power, avoid places of thick Blight, or quickly recover from its effects without bad consequences.

💡Pro Tip: Keep a close eye on her species tag in the character menu if you can access it. Seeing Ancients listed there is your first major clue that she is far more than a simple quest giver.

Visual Clues and Ancient Origins

You can tell a lot about a character by how they dress, and the Traveling Priestess wears her history on her sleeve. She has striking white hair and blue eyes. Her main garment is a white dress featuring a special pattern around the hem. This sign belongs to the Ancients and serves as a reference to the first part of the game: Ender Lilies: Quietus of the Knights. A black bow ties the dress together.

However, she hides much of this away. The head and part of the dress are covered with a black, dilapidated mantle. It features a red underside and bronze rivets. She completes the outfit with black boots. If you look very closely, you might spot a blue amulet hidden behind the mantle. This small detail is actually the most important object in her possession.

She arrived in the Land of Fumes from another country. Her object of interest is Blight, which is also a problem in her homeland. Based on the dialogue, she is a descendant of an Ancient People. Her main task is to study Blight in this part of the game and find the reasons that caused the Rain of Death and the release of Blight from the depths of the Ancient Lands.

💡Trick: Zoom in on her character model if you get the chance. Spotting the blue amulet hidden behind her mantle early on gives you a massive hint about the Aegis Curio item you will need later.

Full Quest Walkthrough: From Academy to Ending B

To see her story through and unlock the secret ending, you need to find her in specific locations across the game acts. Here is where you need to go.

Act 1: The Sorcerer’s Academy

You first find her in the Sorcerer’s Academy. The passage to the room goes through the basement of the academy, below the descent on the left side. Against the background of the room, there is a long corridor with an intermediate superstructure or mezzanine, extending beyond our vision. The left side of the corridor is covered by a pedestal with a statue of a knight in a red robe.

Next to the character is a covered table on which there are many candles, candlesticks, and a flask with flowers that are similar to those planted in a stone planter and on the frontground.

The Encounter:
Lilac warns her that the area is unsafe. The Priestess, turning around, explains she has been in deep thought about the Blight plaguing the nation. She believes she may have a connection to it. Notes that the Blighted Fumes began to emanate from the depths of the Land of Origin when the Rain of Death came. She mentions a device called the Pillar of Purification that can cleanse the Blight in the Land of Origin, but it appears not to be working. She decides to look into the Frosts next.

Act 2: The Scarlet Forest

After the first dialogue, the Traveling Priestess appears in the village of the Scarlet Forest. The character will be standing next to a lily flower that has already been cleared of Blight.

The Encounter:
She remarks that she heard there were survivors in this nation of the Ancient people and that the rumors were true. She identifies Lilac as a descendant of them, noting the similarity to the priestesses of the Ancients. Explains that both her homeland and this Land of Fumes were once ruled by the Ancient people. She reveals that the Blight is the embodiment of the people’s hatred. She expresses a desire to see the sacred depths where the Ancient people dwelled, even if nothing is left of it.

Act 3: The Depths of the Land of Origin

The Priestess moves to the Land of Origin next, continuing her research of the surroundings and the Blight. Upon reaching the territory hidden behind a water tunnel soaked in thick Blight, we see the Traveling Priestess resting on a bench.

The Encounter:
She wakes up, admitting the Blight is quite taxing down there and warns Lilac to be careful. Even if Lilac has resistance, she should not become like the Priestess. She reveals she took the liberty of dispelling an unusual magic barrier that she believes was put in place by a priestess of the Ancients.

The Critical Moment:
After Lilia is found, the Traveling Priestess warns you not to touch her due to the Blight. Lilac despairs, asking if anything can be done. The Priestess admits that even if the Blight is purified, she does not know if it will save Lilia, but it would ease her suffering. She laments that she has no strength to purify the Blight herself and her voice would not reach. She apologizes, stating all she can do is impart the knowledge of the priestesses. Lilac vows to do whatever it takes.

Act 4: The Search for Purification (Middle Stratum)

This is the pivotal stage for Ending B. The Priestess relocates to the Middle Stratum, behind the main square of the city, near a second purified lily. She remains here for the rest of the game. She is a key character in getting Ending B, as thanks to her you will be able to clear Lilia. To do this, you need to restore the Aegis Curio.

Two components are needed to restore it:

  1. Blighted Pupil
  2. Stele of the Land of Origin

By bringing one of two components individually, she will notice your find but will give a comment that it is necessary to continue the search. As soon as the two components are in the inventory, a new dialog opens.

She recognizes the items and asks to see them. She explains that later, this becomes an amulet. When you perform a purification, it will reduce the Blight’s burden on your body. She admits she once used it on herself and was able to restore it using the Blighted Pupil. She gives the Aegis Curio to Lilac.

Then, confesses her earlier lie. She explains that Lilia could have been purified when they first found her, but if she had shown Lilac how, Lilac would have wanted to try and lost her mind to the Blight. She wanted to find another way. Lilac accepts the apology and thanks her.

Act 5: “Will you embrace your role?”

You can go back into the City of Middle Stratum where the Traveling Priestess stayed to get the last scene with her. She asks if you were able to speak with Lilia. Upon hearing the result, she remarks that Lilia’s survival is quite miraculous. She says she will watch over you and watch what you do next, asking if you will embrace your role.

💡Tip: In Act 1, ensure you speak to her until she says the repeatable phrase: “Now… to look into the Frosts…” In Act 5, she also has a specific repeatable phrase: “I shall pray for you to succeed…”

The Truth Behind the Mantle

Veterans of Ender Lilies have likely already connected the dots. Having collected a lot of clues to solve the mysterious character, all the answers converge to one theory: The Traveling Priestess is Lily, the main character of the first part of the game.

The facts supporting the theory are undeniable:

  1. The Mantle: The mantle covering her head belongs to the Umbral Knight, the main companion of the Ender Lilies game world. The hood hides some details of the hairstyle, as well as the affected areas of the hair, the Blight appendages, and the boots hide the exposed legs.
  2. The Amulet: She hides the Aegis Curio behind her clothes. Considering that this is the most unique treasure of the Ancient People, it exists in only one copy, which only one person has. She explicitly states she “once used it on herself,” referencing the scene of Purifying the Blighted Lord.
  3. Homeland: She is a character from another country. Lily’s Homeland is the Land of the End.
  4. The Clothes: Her white dress with a pattern at the hem and a black bow corresponds to the clothes of the White Priestesses and Lily’s clothes specifically.
  5. Appearance: She has identical white hair and blue eyes.
  6. Abilities: She possesses irrefutable proof of involvement with the White Priestesses and the Ancient People, as well as the ability to remove the barriers of the ancient people.
  7. Details: The music “Lily” plays at the first meeting of the character, and she is surrounded by white and red lily flowers.

💡Trick: Listen carefully to the background music during your first meeting at the Sorcerer’s Academy. Recognizing the “Lily  ” track is the definitive audio confirmation of her identity.

Breaking the Bank: The Ultimate Material Farming Guide

Lore is fascinating, but you cannot upgrade gear with stories. You need materials. We have tested various routes and strategies, backed up by 100+ hours of research and work, to bring you the best material farms in ENDER MAGNOLIA (Updated for version 1.1.0).

Important Relics

Only two relics are really important to know about for these farms:

  1. The Eye of the Beast+ relic: Increases material gains by 20%.
  2. The Headless Gold Statue+ relic: Only needed for the AFK farm. Makes 30% of kills give out drops, where it then rolls a 50/50 chance. It is either a Material drop or a Scrap drop. The amount of Scrap is the same no matter the enemy (around 30-70). The amount of Materials entirely depends on the area.

💡Tip: Always verify you have the Eye of the Beast+ equipped before starting a run. Forgetting it means you are voluntarily throwing away 20% of your profits.

Late-Game Farming: 312,000 Materials Per Hour

If you want the highest possible yield and you are willing to play actively, this is the route for you. The previous best active route was nerfed to the ground in update 1.1.0. So, here is the CURRENT BEST ROUTE for grinding materials in update 1.1.0.

The Build:
Equip the Eye of the Beast+ relic, Leg Enhancement Gear relic, and Enhancement Gear relic. Speed is the name of the game here.

The Production:
With the Eye of the Beast+ relic, this route produces around 312,000 materials per hour, or around 5,200 materials per minute.

The Strategy:
Follow the designated purple line on your map, destroying all the crystal lamps.

💡Trick: Speed is just as important as the drop rate here. Use the Leg Enhancement Gear to shave seconds off your lap time, which directly increases your hourly yield.

The Perfect AFK Strategy

Sometimes you want to progress while you sleep or work. This farm produces 42,000 materials per hour. This farm was heavily nerfed in terms of material income in the 1.0.4 update, but it remains the best AFK option.

Difficulty Settings

First of all, difficulty has no impact on material gains. For that reason, turn all the difficulty modifiers down as low as possible to avoid dying. The only exception is the Enemy Attack Frequency modifier. Crank this one all the way up.

The Build

To make the farm work in the first place, you must equip the Headless Gold Statue relic. The Eye of the Beast+ relic and the Eye of the Homunculus+ is also recommended for the extra 20% material and scrap boost. If you want that extra 20+ scrap boost from using the Eye of the Homunculus+ relic, we highly recommend switching it for the Declan’s Ring relic.

Next, just make your build as healthy and defensive as possible. There is no exact blueprint here because with all the modifiers all the way down, you won’t have any trouble surviving. The only thing to keep in mind is that you want to have enough attack boosting relics so that the rats die relatively quickly. This is very important for the efficiency of the farm.

Location and Execution

To start the farm, follow the purple route to the Biological Research Facility. Place your spirit, Lorna, in front of the rat spawner. The reason we chose this one is because the spawner is against the wall, preventing the rats from going out of aggro-range.

A nice setup found to place Lorna well is to place her when Lilac stands inside the 4th fence post from the right. Before going AFK, make sure that most of the rats are not landing in between Lorna’s beams. Some are fine, but if you want the AFK session to be as efficient as possible, try to minimize this.

Note on Subterranean Waterway:
There are also some spawners down in the Subterranean Waterway, but the rats there only drop 24 materials on average. That corresponds to only 8,000 materials/h, which is really bad and truly a waste of time. It does produce the same amount of scraps, however, at around 11,000 scraps/h. So, you could grind early game AFK scraps here, but considering that it’s so much faster to grind scraps manually, we don’t really see a point.

💡Trick: Crank that Enemy Attack Frequency setting to the max. It might sound counterintuitive for survival, but since you lowered the difficulty, you won’t die, and the increased spawn rate drastically boosts your income.

Early-Game Material Route

If you are still in the early game and have not reached the Central Stratum, you have fewer options. This route is by far the best early game farming route you can run. It is also super simple to run and accessible right at the start of the game.

Without the Eye of the Beast relic (because you most likely won’t run this route with it), this route produces around 39,000 materials per hour, or around 650 materials per minute. To execute it, just follow the red line on the map and destroy all the crates.

A Critical Warning:
Although this farm is still the best early game farm, we DO NOT recommend actually using it. It is MUCH more profitable (and more fun) to just play the game normally while breaking objects as you go. Only use this farm if you are missing just a tiny bit to buy what you need.

The reason for this is that the farm’s material income is heavily dependent on which chapter you are on. Also, destroying the same object within a certain timeframe also reduces its material value from breaking it.

💡Trick: Avoid grinding this route for hours on end. The game punishes repetitive object breaking in the same timeframe, so use this only for quick top-ups, not marathon sessions.

Conclusion

ENDER MAGNOLIA rewards those who pay attention. By following the Traveling Priestess through the Sorcerer’s Academy to the Middle Stratum, you uncover the touching legacy of a past hero and unlock the true potential of Lilac’s power with the Aegis Curio. By mastering the economy through optimized lamp smashing and strategic rat farming, you ensure that no upgrade is ever out of reach.

Take the Aegis Curio. Equip your Eye of the Beast. Step back into the mist with confidence, knowing you have mastered both the lore and the mechanics of the Land of Fumes. Happy hunting.

Fun Fact: The musical group Mili returned to compose the soundtrack. Many of the tracks feature vocals sung in a constructed language often called “Miliese” (or Milish/Milinese) by fans. This language is designed to sound Latin-esque or fantastical but is unique to the band’s discography, adding to the game’s alien yet ancient atmosphere.
