How to Talk in Phasmophobia – Talk to Friends
Pre-requisites: make sure that you’ve properly set up your mic, and that you and your friends are in the same lobby or game
In this section we will explain how to talk with friends who are close to where you physically are standing in the game.
Push to Talk Button – Local Voice Option
If you speak and they don’t hear you, it’s because Phasmophobia uses Push to Talk. So you have to press a key or button when you speak to be heard:
- PC – Windows Push to Talk: V
- Xbox Push to Talk: Left Bumper
- PlayStation Push to Talk: L1

In this section we will explain how to chat with friends no matter how far away they are from you in-game
Push to Talk Button – Ranged Voice Option
If you speak and they don’t hear you, it’s because Phasmophobia uses Push to Talk. So you have to press a key or button when you speak to be heard:
- PC – Windows Push to Talk: B
- Xbox Push to Talk: Right Bumper
- PlayStation Push to Talk: R1
How to Talk in Phasmophobia – Talk to Ghost
The ghost is different, as it will always be able to listen to you, even if you don’t use push to talk. And of course, when you press push to talk, it will listen to you too
But there is no way for the ghost player to communicate with the living players, if you are the ghost, there is no key for the rest to hear you, the ghost will only hear
