Phasmophobia Level Unlocks – How to Gain XP

A brief overview of the easiest ways to farm XP:

• Ghost identification:
  • Small map: 100 XP
  • Medium map: 125 XP
  • Large map: 150 XP
• Perfect Investigation Bonus:
  • Small map: 225 XP
  • Medium map: 250 XP
  • Large map: 275 XP
• Investigation Bonus:
  • Small map: 100 XP
  • Medium map: 125 XP
  • Large map: 230 XP
• Bone Evidence:
  • Small map: 25 XP
  • Medium map: 35 XP
  • Large map: 50 XP
• Photo rewards: From 0 to 110 Xp each
• Objectives 1 – 3: 25 – 30 XP per successful objective

Difficulty multiplier

The amount of experience gained is then multiplied by the difficulty multiplier:

• Amateur: 1x
• Intermediate: 2x
• Professional: 3x
• Nightmare: 4x
• Insanity: 6x
• Custom: 0x – 15x depending on settings

The photo awards are multiplied if the difficulty multiplier is less than 1x. Otherwise, multipliers more than 1x have no effect on the photo awards.

If a player fails to identify the correct ghost on a custom difficulty, their prizes will be reduced down to the nearest default difficulty (for example, from 7x to 6x, which is the Insanity multiplier).

If the resultant EXP value is not an integer, it is rounded to the nearest integer.

But if the player dies, the difficulty multiplier is ignored, and their experience is half instead.
