Pokemon Water Festival event – Pokemon Go. Event in which we can catch Lapras wearing a scarf and 2 new Pokemon: Dewpider and Araquanid

Pokemon Water Festival event – Intro

The event will start on May 12 (10:00 local time) until May 20, which will end at (20:00 local time).

In this event we will have to focus on catching Water type Pokemon and we will have the debut of 4 new Pokemon. We remind you that the month of May is full of surprises and one of the best we have had are the megaevolutions of the first legendary Pokemon.

Our adventure takes us to the Poni Island where we will meet all the Pokemon on the island and all the mysteries it hides, among the Pokemon we will meet this Tapu Fini, guardian deity of the Poni Island.

Pokemon Debut

The main Pokemon that will make their debut in this event:

Global Challenge

The global challenge involves all Pokemon trainers in the world. It will start on May 11 at 10:00 p.m. (European time = 1:00 p.m. American) until May 21, which will end at 10:00 a.m. (European time = 01:00 American). The collaboration will consist of catching water type Pokemon and the objective and the reward will be the following:

Goal: Catch 600,000,000 Water type Pokémon (600 million)

Reward: x2 candy per catch (only when objective is completed)

Alola Special Research

From May 10, the special research will be activated, which will be focused on catching Pokemon from Poni Island. So sharpen your aim and get them all! You will have a special prize for completing the investigation.

Timed Research

From the beginning until the end of the event is the time you will have to complete the timed research, which will consist of catching Pokemon from Poni island, so don’t let it escape to obtain the following rewardsa:

  • 50 Gyarados Mega Energy
  • 1,000 XP
  • 1,000 Stardust
  • Encounter with Lapras wearing a scarf
  • Encounter Dewpider

Field Research Task

Wild Pokemon marked “Yes” will have a chance to be Shiny (with some luck). You will be able to get some extra and special Pokemon by completing field research, complete as many as you can.

Event Season of Alola Pokemon Go. It will start on May 1 (10am local time) it will last 3 months (almost the whole spring) will end on June 1 (10am local time).

This event is not yet scheduled for the month of May.

A mega moment

All Pokemon that can Mega Evolve will appear in the wild more frequently until Saturday, May 1, 2022, at 8:00 p.m. local time. Mega-Kangaskhan will have a Mega Raid Day on Sunday, May 1, 2022, from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. local time.
