In Forspoken, altered mutants such as the Borophagus are optional mini-bosses that you can defeat to earn rewards. You will be thrust into the magical and dangerous world of Athia in this action-adventure RPG. Athia, once a beautiful land, has been devastated by a mysterious blight known as The Break. As a result, the creatures and humans have become corrupted and hostile. All of the survivors have gathered in Cipal. This guide will teach you how to deal with the hyena-like creature that roams Cipal.

How To Beat Altered Borophagus in Forspoken

Before tackling these Altered Mutants, we recommend completing the main quest to gain access to new and powerful spells. These mutants are difficult to defeat, so having a few powerful spells in your arsenal will assist you.

Fighting Borophagus is difficult because, unlike other mutants, it will be surrounded by three minions. The following minions are vulnerable to the following magic types:

• Hylonomus: A reptilian creature susceptible to Frey’s Magic (Purple Magic).
• Harpagos: A bird-like creature susceptible to Sila’s Magic (Red Magic).
• Gruagach: A minion creature that is resistant to Frey’s Magic.

Aside from the minions, the mutant is extremely powerful. It has powerful melee attacks as well as an Attack boost ability. This mutant can instantly deplete your health bar and finish you off with this boost.

To defeat Altered Borophagus, follow these steps:

• First, find and defeat the minions. Finish off the Hylonomus with your Purple Magic. Then, switch to Red Magic to defeat Harpagos. Because Grugach is immune to all types of magic, Frey’s own is the best to use.
• After you’ve defeated the minions, turn your attention to Borophagus. Keep your distance and use Frey’s Purple Magic on it because it is vulnerable to it.
• To deal significant damage to its health, use spells such as Implant, Tendril, and Burst Shot.
• Step back and keep your distance when it roars. This is an indication of its attack boost, and the next attack is devastating.
• If you are hit by that attack, heal yourself right away. To do so, bring enough Healing Draughts with you to the fight.

You will receive 4 Lucid Garlands as a reward for defeating Altered Borophagus, which you can use to upgrade your gear.

Finding Altered Borophagus

You must go to the Sacred Peaks area of Cipal in order to find the Altered Borophagus. The Blessed Plains are to the north of this region. You must defeat the first main boss to get the Zip ability, which will allow you to access this area. To find this mutant once you are at the Sacred Peaks, seek for a Belfry.
