Pokemon Veluza Weaknesses Resistant Counters – All info

Veluza is a dual-type Pokemon, with both Psychic and Water types.

Veluza is one of the latest fish Pokémon introduced in the games, Pokémon Scarlet and Violet. This Pokémon is easily recognizable by its large eyes and odd appearance, and is commonly found in the Western Paldean Sea and Casseroya Lake. But, what makes Veluza a formidable opponent to deal with in battle?

How to Beat Veluza in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet

All movements of these types affect Veluza

  • Bug
  • Dark
  • Electric
  • Ghost
  • Grass

Its physical and special Defense stats are relatively even, meaning it can be attacked with either physical or special moves. To defeat Veluza, it’s best to use Thunderbolt, Shadow Ball, or Night Slash.

Veluza Immune

Veluza is immune to none of the types in Pokémon. However, Veluza has the ability Own Tempo which makes it immune to the confusion status effect.

Veluza Resistant & Veluza Counters

Veluza resists the following moves and types

  • Fighting
  • Fire
  • Ice
  • Psych
  • Steel
  • Water

Veluza Confusing Tactics

Veluza is a combination of both the Water and Psychic type, and one of its notable moves is Water Pulse, which can induce confusion in your Pokémon. Confusion is a status effect that makes a Pokémon attack itself, and the only way to avoid it is if the Pokémon has the Own Tempo ability.

Veluza Physical Powerhouse

Veluza has a low base stat of 478, but it excels in its attack stats, making it a force to be reckoned with when it comes to physical attacks like Psycho Cut and Aqua Cutter. It’s essential to have a Pokémon with high Defense stats to counter Veluza’s physical strikes.

Veluza is a Pokémon that can be intimidating in appearance, but it’s relatively easy to defeat if you know its weaknesses and tactics. Make sure to have a well-rounded team and the right moves, and you’ll be able to swim freely in the Paldean Region in no time.
