Tyranitar is a Rock/Dark-type Pokémon introduced in Generation II. It is the evolution of Pupitar, from the sixth generation it can mega evolve into Mega-Tyranitar.

Mega Tyranitar

In Generation 6 and only in combat, Tyranitar can Mega Evolve into Mega Tyranitar.

Mega-Tyranitar gains even larger spikes around its back and tail. The color of his stomach changes from blue-gray to red, and his attack, defense, special defense, and speed are increased. His sandblasting ability activates when he enters combat.

You can defeat Tyranitar with any move of the Fighting, Bug, Fairy, Grass, Ground, Steel & Water types, but if you have Special Attacks moves, you should concentrate on using them. Due to Tyranitar’s stronger in Physical Defense, using Special Attacks will be significantly more successful.

Psychic, Poison, Normal, Ghost, Flying, Fire and Dark-type Pokemon are those that you should make sure to keep away from any battles with Tyranitar. Each of them is vulnerable to one or more of Tyranitar’s attacks.
