Level 100 (the maximum) with maximum base stats emphasizing Speed and Special Attack.

It also always has the Modest nature, making it an excellent pick for any Charizard because it increases Special Attack while decreasing Attack. Charizard is of the Fire/Flying type, the majority of its strongest moves will be Special Attacks. This Charizard’s Tera type becomes Dragon when terastallized.

Secret attack

Charizard also has the extremely rare secret ability Solar Power. Available to Charmander, Charmeleion, Charizard, Helioptile, and Heleolisk – effectively just Charmander and its evolutions.

When in Sunny conditions: Solar Power increases the Pokémon’s Special Attack by 50% but loses its HP by 12.5 percent at the conclusion of each turn.

The Sunny weather condition already increases all Fire attacks by 50%. Furthermore, the same-type attack bonus (STAB) of any Fire techniques used by a Fire Pokémon is increased by 50%. If you use a held item like Charcoal on this Charizard, you’ll gain an extra 20%.

How to find Charizard?

These Tera Raid Battles are strictly post-game events, therefore you must first complete a few prerequisites:

  • Complete the tales of Victory Road, Starfall Street, and Path of Legends.
  • Completing the game and rolling the credits
  • Beat all of the Gym Leaders once more.
  • At Naranja Academy, you must win the Academy Ace Tournament.
  • Defeat 15 five-star Tera Raids until Professor Jacq summons you to discuss Black Tera Crystals.

After that, you’ll start spotting Black Tera Crystals in the wild.

Conveniently, they will be marked on the global map by a distinctive symbol that resembles a darker variant of the normal Dragon-type Tera den.

Tera Raid Azumarill Build & Strategy Charizard

Charizard is a Dragon Tera Type, it is only vulnerable to Dragon and Fairy attacks, therefore if you bring in a dragon, it will be destroyed by Charizard’s Dragon Pulse move.

So you’ll need a Fairy-type Pokémon (which resists Dragon techniques) that can withstand all of the Special Attacks that will be thrown at it. It is also necessary to reach Level 100.

The Fairy-type Eevee evolution Sylveon is a good choice, although Azumarill is the most commonly used Pokémon in Tera Raid Battles like this one. It is immune to all of Charizard’s Dragon and Fire moves because it is a Fairy/Water-type Pokémon.

How to catch Azumarill?

Azurills of the Normal/Fairy type are common in:

  • East Province (Area One)
  • South Province (Area One)
  • South Province (Area Two)

Azurill evolves into Marill at a high enough friendship level, thus you’ll need to party it up a lot at picnics and/or have it carry a Soothe Bell, which can be purchased from Delibird Presents. Alternatively, you can just catch a Marill at bodies of water in the map’s south and east.

Then, at Level 18, Marill transforms into Azumarill.

Best moveset for Azumarill

  • Belly Drum (Learned from Mirror Herb) > Consumes half the user’s HP to increase Attack by 6 levels.
  • Liquidation (TM 110) > Inflicts physical Water damage with a 20% chance of reducing the target’s Defense.
  • Rough Play (Learnt at Level 25) > Inflicts physical Fairy damage with a 10% chance of decreasing the target’s Attack
